1. How to Copy a Workspace?
You have to be an Account Owner or a Workspace manager to be able to copy a Workspace. You control this permission from the Security Controls in the Administration.
Here are the steps that guide you through the process:
Step 1: Go to the Dashboard and locate the Workspace that you want to copy. Click the corresponding Workspace settings and select "Copy Workspace".
Step 2: From the "Copy Workspace" panel, you can select different workspace assets that you want to copy along with the selected workspace.
For example, if you want to copy the belonging boards without copying their custom configurations, checkmark Boards only.
You can have a customized copy of the source workspace boards using these selections that apply across all boards to be copied.
- If you want to preserve all team members assigned to the boards, check-mark the respective settings.
- If you want to copy all cards from the boards contained in the source workspace, check-mark the respective setting.
In addition, you have the option to move all cards to the Backlog. If you do not check-mark this option, the cards will be copied as per their current positions in the original boards (as of the time of the workspace copy). Moreover, you can preserve:
- cards' types
- cards' assignee
- custom fields
- cards' links
- Cards' templates
