You need to have administrator privileges or to be a Project Manager of a project to be able to manage the types in your project.
You can use types to categorize your tasks in a visual way by giving them icons corresponding to the different types of work, e.g. "Bug", "Meeting", "Customer Request" etc.
Create Kanban Card Type
Types are created and added on a project basis. If you want to add a type, click on the Project Settings icon (dotted menu) and select Manage Types.
In the Types tab of the Project and Board Settings panel you can add types and assign them to any project. Click on the Add New Type button to create a new type.
Configure New Card Type
Click on the icon under Add New Type to open a list of icons that you can use. Choose an icon and enter the name of the type you want to create. You can also add a description of the type (this is optional). Click on the check mark sign to add the type.
Assign a Type to Your Card
Types are assigned to a card from within the card itself. When you create a card, go to Card type in the card details and choose a type from the dropdown.
To change the type of a card, you can either use the same navigation and choose a new type or click on the card's type icon of the closed card view and select a new type from the dropdown menu.
Edit existing Type
If you want to edit a type, click on the settings icon (dotted menu) to open the type's menu.
Click on Edit, if you want to edit the type’s icon, name or description. If you want to copy or move the type to a different project, choose one of these options and select a project from the list that appears where the type should be copied or moved. You can also delete a type, if it is not needed anymore.
