1. Using card comments
Creating card comments is the easiest way to communicate with your team and share task-related information with the rest of the team members.
To create a comment -> open the card and go to the Comments tab.
Type your comment in the comment field and click either on: Add a comment or use ctrl+enter to add the comment to the card.
You can extend the comment field for more space by dragging its right edge with the mouse.
2. Send a comment as an email
You can also send your comment as an email from the card, using the "Send as Email" option.
Click on " Send as Email in the comment section and type your comment. In the From field will automatically appear your notification email in Kanbanize, e.g. email@example.com (where the subdomain stays for your account‘s name). From the dropdown, you can select your Kanbanize registration email. Note: You need to set up an SPF record in order to be able to send emails from your personal Kanbanize registration email. Enter the user you would like to send the email to or their email address in the To field. Click on Add the comment to send it.
If you use the Reply to Author option and add a comment, the creator of the card will receive an email notification with your comment.
If you have set up email integration in Kanbanize and a card was created by email (refer to the dedicated article about Email integration), you can go to the comment section of the card -> click on Reply to Author and when you add a comment the author will receive an email with your reply.
If the author replies back, the email will be created as a comment on the card. This way the entire email thread will be kept in the comment section of the card. To answer to the latest comment, click on the arrow (reply/reply all) at the right side of the comment.
You can also add a file to your comment, which will be sent as an attachment and will be accessible from the card.
If you have started writing a comment and you want to cancel it, click on the x-sign at the top right.
3. How to open the card comments
You can open the comments of a card in three different ways:
3.1 Click on the comments icon of the card. Note:To make the comments icon visible on the closed card view - > use the Grid menu at the top right side of your board interface -> Configure Card View -> Show comments.
3.2 Open the card by clicking on the card ID or double click on the card and go to the Comments tab (as described above).
3.3 Open the context menu of the card and select Comment.
4. How to edit card comments?
If you want to edit a comment -> click on the Actions menu of the comment -> select Edit comment.
Edit the comment and click on the green check mark to save the changes. Click on the x-sign if you want to cancel the action.
Note: You can only edit comments created by yourself unless you have administrator privileges. Comments sent as email cannot be edited at all.
5. How to delete card comments?
If you want to delete a comment -> click on the Actions menu of the comment -> select Delete comment. Confirm the action by clicking on Yes. Click on No to cancel the action.
