In Kanbanize, you can log time on your cards to track the pure time you have spent on a given task. You can log time on the card for the entire task or at a subtask level.
1. How to Log time on the card?
There are three ways to open the Log Time window of a card:
1.1 Click on the card Context menu -> select Log time to open the Log Time panel (Image 1).
Choose if you want to log time for the card or for its subtasks.
You can either choose a subtask or the card itself.
Set a checkmark on the task or on the subtask -> Log Time in the respective field (Example: 1, 1.5, 1d 2h, 1.5d, 20m).
The description field is optional - here you can write a work-related comment.
Click on the "Log Time" at the bottom of the panel to save the changes.
The time you have logged will be displayed at the bottom of the panel.
1.2 You can access the Log time panel from the card settings (the gear icon at the top right corner of the card) -> select Log Time -> follow the same navigation as described above.
1.3 If your card view is configured to display the logged time on the closed card view, you can click directly on the logged time icon of the card to access the Log Time panel.
2. How to Edit Logged Time?
If you want to edit your logged time, click on the Edit icon of the logged time.
Enter the new value in the Hours field -> edit the comment if needed -> confirm the changes by clicking on the green checkmark sign.
3. How to Delete Logged Time?
You can delete your logged time by clicking on the delete icon of the logged time.
Note: Different users can log time on one card, but only account Administrators or Project Managers can view the time that has been logged from multiple users on the card.
Users with a default user role can only see their own logged time.
Administrators can easily run a Timesheet report in Kanbanize to get summarized information for a user/task/a group of users/ a bunch of tasks.
