The Tag could be considered as a label attached to a card for the purpose of identification or to give a specific information about the card.
Tags help you to group together and organize your cards by different criteria.
Setting tags allows you to make information visible at first sight and easily search or/and filter cards by the given criteria.
1. How to set up a tag?
There are two ways to set a tag on the card:
1.1. Set a tag from the card details
Open the card -> go to the Tags field (below the Deadline field) and type the tag -> Click on Update card to save the changes.
Note: If you use more than one tag, separate them by a comma.
1.2 Set a tag from the card Context menu
Open the Context menu of the card -> Click on Tag -> type a tag in the Set Card tags field-> Click on the "Set Tag" button.
2. How to edit or delete a tag?
2.1 Edit/Delete a tag from the card details
Open the card -> go to the Tags field in the card details -> edit/delete the tag -> click on the Update card button to save the changes.
2.2 Edit/Delete a tag by clicking on the tag icon (< >) at the closed card view.
This option works, if the card already contains at least one tag and you have configured your card view to show tags.
Click on the tag icon (< >) -> Edit/Remove the card tag -> Click on the Set Tag button
2.3. Edit/Delete a tag from the context menu
Open the Context menu of the card -> click on Tag -> Edit/Remove the tag ->click on the Set Tag button.
3. How to search for/filter cards by tags?
When you use tags, you can easily search for your cards from the Board Filter or the Advanced Search panel.
3.1. Searching for cards from the Board Filter
Open the Grid menu at the top right side of your board interface and click on the Board Filter.
Note: The Board filter works per board.
Go to the Tags field (below the Color field) -> Set your criteria - "Tags" is/is not/contains or does not contain -> apply the filter by clicking on the checkmark next to it.
A filter will be applied and all cards, which match your search criteria will be displayed on the board. To bring back your initial board view - Reset the filter.
3.2 Searching for cards from the Advanced Search
Open the Advanced Search Panel by clicking on the magnifying glass at the top right of your dashboard.
Click on Refine search criteria.
Select and add the pill: "Tags" from the Refine search criteria panel (the second pill on the second row).
The selected field will appear on the left side of the panel. Define if the tag: is/is not/contains or does not contain -> Type the tag name -> Click on the Search button.
For example: If you have selected: the Tag is: "tagname", the system will generate a report with all cards with this tag.
