Tagging cards help users to group together and organize their cards. To tag a card with a value allows you to make information visible at first sight and easily search or/and filter cards by the tag.
1. How to set up a tag?
There are two ways to set a tag on the card:
1.1. Set a tag from the card details
Open а card -> go to the Tags field and enter the value -> Click on Update card to save the changes.
Note: If you input more than one tags, separate the values with a comma.
1.2 Set a tag from the card Context menu
Open the car Context menu -> Click on Tag -> type a tag in the Set Card tags field-> Click on the "Set Tag" button.
2. How to edit or delete a tag?
- > edit/delete a tag from the Card details.
Open the card -> go to the Tags field in the card details -> edit/delete the tag -> click on the Update card button to save the changes.
- > edit/delete a tag by clicking on the tag icon (< >) at the closed card view.
This option works, if the card already contains at least one tag and you have configured your card view to show tags at the closed card view.
Click on the tag icon (< >) -> edit/remove the card tag -> click on the "Set Tag" button
- > edit/delete a tag from the context menu.
Open the Context menu of the card -> click on Tag -> edit/remove the tag ->click on the set tag button.
3. How to filter cards by a tag?
3.1. Searching for cards from the Board Filter
Go to the Sidebar located on the right side of your board interface and select the Board filter icon.
In the Board filter panel, you can directly search by the tag at the upper side of the panel.
Another option is using the Tags field and set up one of the following criteria:
"Tags" is /is not/ contains / does not contain. To apply the filter click on the checkmark next to the field.
When you apply the filter all cards that match your search criteria will be instantly filtered out on the board.
Use the "Reset Board filter" to revert to the previous board view.
3.2 Searching for cards from the Advanced Search
Open the Advanced Search Panel from the magnifying glass at the top side of your dashboard.
Click on Refine search criteria.
Select and add the pill: "Tags" from the Refine search criteria panel (the second pill on the second row).
The selected field will appear on the left side of the panel. Define if the tag: is/is not/contains or does not contain -> enter the tag name -> click the Search button to run a report.
For example: If you have selected: the Tag is: "tagname", the system will generate a report with all cards having this tag as a property.
