The Advanced Search gives you the option to search for cards across all your boards by their linked cards. You can filter by the following criteria:
- By Parent; Child and Relative card
This option is very useful for tracking bigger projects with the Kanban portfolio management scenario.
With their help, you can search for all the child cards by the parent's name, ID, priority, color, deadline, and every other available parameter.
In case that you filter by Parent card, the system will generate an advanced report about all child cards along with their status and progress.
In case that you filter by Child card, the system will generate a report about the parent cards that matches the predefined criteria you have defined.
To run the report, click on the magnifying glass at the upper right side of your board interface ->open the Advanced Search panel.
Click on Refine search criteria to open the Refine search criteria panel.
Select your search criteria, e.g. Board and one of the available options: Parent Card/Child Cards/Relative Cards -> click on Add.
- Parent Card: Set the filter by choosing an option "matches/does not match" and click on "this filter" to open the Subquery parameter panel. Refine your search criteria e.g. by: "Title" and the system will list all child cards, which are linked to the Parent card that matches the filter.
- Child Cards/Relative Cards: Set the filter by choosing an option "all match/some match/some do not match/none match". Click on Not set to open the Subquery panel and narrow down your search criteria (if necessary) to get the list of the corresponding Parent cards.
Click on Search to generate your report.
