1. Introduction
After you have created your dashboard pages and widgets, you might find the need to recreate a particular dashboard page and/or some of the widgets in it, in order to reuse them for a different purpose e.g. a different project or team.
In that case, you can quickly clone a dashboard page (with the widgets in it) or clone a single widget and copy it on a target dashboard page.
2. How to Clone Dashboards?
In order to be able to clone a dashboard page, you need to be a 'Dashboard manager' of the page (that you would like to clone), or have the 'Manage Dashboards' admin privilege.
To clone a dashboard page, navigate to your home dashboard page (https://company.kanbanize.com/ctrl_dashboard) and locate the page in question.
Click on the 3-dots icon and choose the 'Clone' option:
The system will prompt you to select what settings to preserve from the source dashboard page:
You can choose to include:
- users
- teams
- workspaces
- widgets
By selecting 'users', the new dashboard page will be accessible by the same users that have access to the source dashboard page.
By selecting 'teams', the new dashboard page will be accessible by the same teams that have access to the source dashboard page.
By selecting 'workspaces', the new dashboard page will include the same workspaces as the source dashboard page.
By selecting 'widgets', the new dashboard page will include the same widgets as the source dashboard page. The widgets' settings will also be preserved.
After clicking on 'Clone', the new dashboard page will become available on your home page and it will have the source dashboard page's name + 'Copy'.
